We authorise non-exclusive use of our assets under the following conditions:
- Non-commercial use: Assets are provided under a non-commercial license, allowing use for editorial, research, and educational purposes. They may not be used for commercial activities such as advertisements, for-profit websites, or product packaging.
- One-time use: Assets are licensed for one-time use only and are not intended for long-term storage or archiving.
- Mandatory attribution: Proper attribution must accompany each use, as specified in the Terms & Conditions of the respective asset.
- No redistribution or resale: Assets cannot be redistributed, shared, or resold. If others need access, please direct them to CUHK Visuals ([email protected]) to request the materials themselves.
Guidelines for asset modifications:
- Permitted changes: You may crop, resize, or adjust colour formats (e.g., RGB, CMYK) to suit your needs.
- Forbidden changes: Modifications altering the asset’s original context or meaning, such as adding watermarks, removing logos, or other acts that defame CUHK or tarnish CUHK's reputation are strictly prohibited.
- Derivative works: Any adaptations or modifications you create must be shared under the same licensing terms as the original asset. You must attribute as specified in the Terms & Conditions of the respective asset.
- Historical images: Some historical images may include a preservation watermark. This watermark must remain visible if the image is used.
